Born three months premature, and weighing in at just 1 pound 13 ounces, it seems that the odds were against him at birth. But with faith and family on his side, this small miracle would grow to be so drawn to music that he would later be compelled to become a producer himself. His parents split when he was very young, and although this may have been difficult for him, it may have been the thing that drove him to develop his skills to where they are today.

In the late 1980s, his dad and uncle formed a musical group – The Bally Boys – which found regional success on the east coast and left a lasting impression on his life. Sadly, when his father was called upon by the Marine Corp, music was put on hold. Moving from state to state with his mother, he eventually landed in Minnesota. In 2000, as a high school sophomore, he was inspired to download a trial of a music production program. From that day on, he began to grow and develop his skills as a producer. Searching for a name to identify himself by, he adopted the moniker Othello, acknowledging his African-American and Italian ancestry.

Following high school graduation, Othello moved east once again, living with his father, attending East Stroudsburg University, and perfecting his craft. As his producing, arranging and mixing skills developed, he was approached for projects including short films, animated videos and college TV productions. During his college years, he also found success in radio, becoming Production Director for ESU’s 90.3 WESS, and hosting his own show, “It’s All in Black and White.”

In 2006, Othello returned to Minnesota. There, he formed Othello Productions and began to grow his fan base via social media. Using MySpace, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, Othello showcases his talents and the music he has made with artists in Minnesota, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Othello Productions continues to grow and gain momentum – stay posted, because there’s much more to come.
